Monterey Pops Festival
The crowd at Monterey Pops Festival was performing, too, but not on stage. Flowers, patchouli oil, handmade clothes and leather were everywhere. So were psychedelics. It was June 1967, the beginning of the Summer of Love, when everything seemed possible.
